Tech of APT Webinar #8: Pole Indexing and Spatial Distribution Maps. What's Your Orientation?

Raw data from Atom Probe Tomography is incredibly rich in information.  Most amazing part is that the data itself often contains all the information required for both spatial and compositional calibration and verification.  The detection system has very high signal to noise, can differentiate isotopes from each element, and can record 80% of the atom positions in a 3D volume with subnanometer spatial resolution.  This is important because the specimen itself is the primary optic of this microscope and can introduce spatial anomalies.

In this webinar, we will investigate the use of crystal identification to measure and improve spatial reconstruction accuracy.  The use of automatic crystal pole mapping and spatial distribution map modules in the analysis software will be explored and used on real-world examples.
