The ability to observe the chemical distribution of individual elements at the nanoscale and in three dimensions (3D) provides a unique opportunity to understand current and future material challenges. With a focus on nanoscale device dimensions, 3D structures and composition analysis, Atom Probe Tomography (APT) will continue to play a pivotal role in enabling novel material development and design. While APT is heavily used in research institutions and government laboratories worldwide, its popularity in industry is limited.

At Eurofins Nanolab Technologies we help to support research and development activities for industry partners across the globe. In this webinar, we will discuss the capabilities of the APT technique for industry projects, specific application cases, and current efforts to develop the technique to provide enhanced materials analysis. The webinar will cover a wide range of materials from III-V structures used in light emitting diodes (LEDs), metals and alloys for applications in lightweight chassis and turbines as well as Si based devices for semiconductor applications

About the presenter:

Dr. Pritesh Parikh is currently working as a Scientist at Eurofins Nanolab Technologies, leading the efforts in3D nanoscale analysis through Atom Probe Tomography. Pritesh received his PhD from the Department of Nanoengineering at UC, San Diego in 2019, working on understanding energy materials, lithium batteries and perovskite based solar panels using atom probe tomography. In collaboration with Dr. Arun Devaraj at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, Pritesh has gained experience in a multitude of different material system and challenges for atom probe tomography and continues to apply this towards his current work. As an APT scientist, Pritesh contributes to the field of 3D nanoscale analysis to a large variety of materials for both academic and industry clients.
